Rakhine State's Cyclone Mocha death toll examined

Local journalists and aid groups report 159 people were killed, and 94 were injured, in Rakhine State since Cyclone Mocha made landfall on May 14. Over two weeks later, and relatively few people have received any assistance. The U.N. states that 1.6 million people are in urgent need of humanitarian aid. It is still waiting for approval from Naypyidaw to be allowed to travel to reach disaster-affected communities in Rakhine State.
